PRINCIPAL and COUNSELOR ASSIGNMENTS

DR. LISA L. MARTIN, PRINCIPAL

MR. BRIAN COLLIER, AP for Athletics & Co-Curricular Activities
Mr. Collier has been the Assistant Principal for Athletics and Activities at Colonial Forge High School since August of 2003. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science Education and Master’s of Teaching from the University of Virginia in 1992. He also completed the requirements and earned the Certification from the National Athletic Trainer’s Association in 1992. He earned his Post-master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. Mr. Collier began his career in Education as the Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine Teacher at North Stafford High School in 1993. He spent 6 years at North Stafford before coming to Colonial Forge when it opened in 1999. He spent the first 4 years as the Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine Teacher at the Forge, before assuming his current position. 
Mr. Collier and his wife Teresa reside in Stafford and have three children, Travis, Braydon, and Kaylee. GO EAGLES!!

MRS. TRICIA JACOBS, Assistant Principal (G - N)
Mrs. Jacobs became an Assistant Principal at Colonial Forge in July 2008 and has been a Stafford County Public Schools administrator for nine years.  She graduated from Buffalo State College in 1986 where she majored in Technology Education.  Her Industrial Technology Education Master’s degree was awarded in 1987 from Indiana’s, Ball State University.  Mrs. Jacobs has taught Technology Education courses at the elementary, secondary, and university levels in the states of Indiana, New York, and Virginia.  She continues to be actively involved with the Technology Student Association (TSA) as a national event coordinator.  In 1998, Mrs. Jacobs received her school administration certification from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education Leadership and Policy from Virginia Tech.  If she isn’t at CFHS, you can probably find her at a field enjoying her sons playing baseball or football!   

MR. RODNEY JONES, Assistant Principal (O -  Z)
Mr. Rodney M. Jones, Sr., was named assistant principal of Colonial Forge High School in July of 2004. Mr. Jones earned a bachelor's of science degree in health and physical education from Virginia Commonwealth University in May, 1977. He also received a master's of education from VCU in May, 1991. Mr. Jones began his teaching career in Chesterfield County Schools as an elementary physical education teacher in Ettrick, Virginia. He has also taught in Henrico County Schools and he has served as an assistant football and head basketball coach at J.R. Tucker High School in Richmond, Virginia. At the administrative level, Mr. Jones has served as an assistant principal at Walker-Grant Middle School in Fredericksburg and recently as an assistant principal at Culpeper County High School before joining the Colonial Forge "family". Mr. Jones is married to Amelda Fay Jones and they have two sons, Rodney Jr. and Reginald. Mr. Jones shares with everyone how much he enjoys working with the outstanding staff and students of Colonial Forge High School.

MR. NICK MAMMARELLA, Assistant Principal (A - F)
Nick Mammarella was named Assistant Principal at Colonial Forge in August 2000. He graduated from California State College, California, PA in January, 1973 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in mathematics. Upon graduation, Mr. Mammarella entered the United States Marine Corps and served as a Naval Aviator flying fighter aircraft. Upon retirement in September, 1994, Mr. Mammarella returned to the education field and was employed by Stafford County to establish and administer the Regional Alternative Education Program as the Lead Teacher and Program Coordinator. He completed his Masters in Educational Leadership in August, 1999, from George Mason University.

MRS. DIANE BENDER, Office Manager
Mrs. Bender joined Colonial Forge in May, 2005. She came to us from Prince William County where she worked at the elementary level. She is a native of Rhode Island. After moving around the country with her husband and two children, she now calls Virginia home. GO EAGLES!

MRS. DIANE "SASSY" SASPORTAS, Account Clerk
Mrs. Sasportas has been employed by Stafford Count Public Schools for the past 8 years. She has experience at the elementary Account Clerk level and has now graduated to High School. She has been in the VA area for the past 16 years, is married to her high school sweetheart, and has 2 wonderful children - Kelsey & Jacob.
